Rajaram College, Kolhapur was established in 1880 and was housed in the old palatial building in Kolhapur City and was shifted to the present site in 1971. The college has a huge campus of 74 acres and 24 well-maintained buildings. The total built up area of the college is 35065 sq. m. The entire infrastructure is maintained by Building and Construction department of Govt. of Mahrashtra

The infrastructure is utilized for academic purposes and also for conducting various examinations like HSSC, MHCET, SET and University examinations.

Newly introduced departments like Microbiology, Industrial Microbiology, Geology and Home Science have been temporarily housed in the main building, library and ladies hostel respectively, however we have plans to construct a separate unit for each of them in the near future.
