Department of Home Scince is started in the celebration of centenary year of Rajaram College in 1979-80. Late Princess Padmaraje a Daughter of the great Marathas Shahu maharaj Kolhapur encouraged the skill orientedcourses for girls It school level it was extended to the pre degree and then degree level. Rajaram College is a pioneer institute under the Shivaji University Jurcdiction, Kolhapur to starts the Home science education for the girl students.
