The alumni have a very strong affinity towards the department and are eagerly willing to contribute towards overall upliftment of the Department.
KAL-AAJ-Aur KAL :Lectures of some of our alumni are arranged to guide the present students regarding the new trends in the field of biology. The KAL guides the AAJ for its glorious KAL. We invite our ex-students who are well placed to guide the present students for various entrance exams, competitive exams, post graduate studies in Microbiology & allied branches. Our students help us in organizing campus interviews & placements of students. The ex-students placed abroad, guide & help the present students to pursue their education abroad. The ex-students engaged in research are invited to present their research in the Department. This stimulates, motivates & orients the present students towards research.

A alumni association called MAARCK(Micro Alumni Association Rajaram College Kolhapur) was registered on 1st January 2014 (Reg. No.Mah/33545/Kolhapur). The MAARCK felicitates the first rank holders of B.Sc III Microbiology and Industrial Microbiology with a certificate of merit and cash prize. The alumni who have cleared the NET/SET/GATE and those who have been awarded a Ph.D are also felicitated
-Some of our Alumni have donated several valuable books to the departmental library.
Departmental Library:
Department has its own Departmental Library. The books in the library are issued from the Main Library and also purchased under Industrial Microbiology Grants. Some of the books are donated by staff members, past students & visitors for the use of students. The books are issued to the students as well as the Alumni whenever required. The Total number of books is 500.
