Alumni
Gopalkrishna Gokhale
a great political thinker and guide of Mahatma Gandhi, Gopalkrishna Gokhale was a student of this college. He became Professor of English later. His contribution to the mathematical world was his famous book “The Arithmetic” which was commonly known as “Gokhale’s Ganeet”. The book virtually dominated the teaching of Mathematics at school level throughout India for many decades and many generations.
V. S. Hujurbazar
was a student of Mathematics in the college. After graduation in Mathematics he opted for Statistics at postgraduation. He was a professor of Statistics at Pune University. Internationally famous, he has to his credit some theorems in Statistics which are universally accepted.
M. S. Hujurbazar
. An exceptionally intelligent. professor of Mathematics at Institute of Science, Mumbai. Though he was not Ph. D. himself, he was recognised as guide for Ph. D.
Wrangler Dr. V. V. Naralikar
was the only student of Rajaram college who secured the highest rank in Mathematics viz, Senior Wrangler at Cambridge.
